Bespoke Manifestation Graphics Project - 20th February 2009
National Windows Films® was asked by an interior fit-out company to produce and install, in a frost effect window film, a bespoke frosted effect design to a large area of full height glass partitions and doors at new offices. The client had seen a design within a company brochure and wanted to replicate the layout in their offices, and also included the company name and logo. The approved design was computer cut and installed over a two-day period with excellent results.

Improvement Project - 19th February 2009
National Windows Films® was asked to visit this property where the owner was in the process of refurbishing the interior of the building with a view to re-leasing to a new client. The customer was also looking to gain an advantage over adjacent properties by improving the appearance of the external facade of the premises as well as providing a degree of privacy through the full height windows. After completing trials it was agreed to install two different films to the office and reception atrium. A dark grey tint was applied to the lower panes on each floor to match the existing infill panels of the building. A medium grey was installed to the remainder of the glass to take the edge off the vision into the property from passers by.

Latest Anti-terrorism advice from MI5 - 20th November 2008
In the latest report from MI5 Security Service, increased importance has been placed on ensuring glazing is stregthened. The following statements were made: "Do what you can to make your building more blast resistant, paying particular attention to windows." "Many casualties in urban terrorist attacks are from flying glass, especially in modern buildings, and glazing protection is an important casualty reduction measure. Extensive research has been carried out on the effects of blast on glass. There are technologies that minimise shattering and casualties, as well as the costs of re-occupation. Anti-shatter film, which holds fragmented pieces of glass together, offers a relatively cheap and rapid improvement to existing glazing."
