Overhead Glazing

overhead glazing

Overhead glazing can be extremely dangerous if it fractures into shards of glass that fall from height. National Window Films can provide retro-fit solutions for overhead glazing safety so there is no need to replace your glazing. The system comprises of:

  • A safety film that is applied to the glass. This is to ensure that if the glass breaks, it is held together and shards of glass do not break off.
  • An edge-retention system to ensure that the glass is held in the frame so that the glass does not fall.

We also offer specialist solutions for boss systems so that the tension on the glass does not need to be released during installation. Failure of overhead glazing can occur for a number of reasons, including nickel sulphide inclusions. If you are concerned about the risk of injury caused by failure of your overhead glazing then call us free today on 0800 316 7788.
